Online Marketing Opportunities for Your Home Business

Sunday, September 10th, 2006

When you base your home business opportunity on online marketing, you will be able to tap into a large number of resources that each promise to give you access to a whole different segment of the market. There is a plethora of online marketing opportunities that will permit you to introduce your home business to a wide audience. Conversely, if you find that you would have a hard time marketing your business to a large audience, perhaps this business opportunity needs to be revised a little bit in order to appeal to a much larger segment of the market. Here are some tips for getting the word out about your home based business opportunity via online marketing.

Build a professional-looking website. Too often individuals make the mistake of going overboard when creating a website, and the result is a site with too many ads, pop ups or pop unders, and streaming videos that take the viewer’s eyes away from the business itself. Unless you know how to design a website yourself, this is a task best left to the professionals. Keep in mind that a well-designed site will permit potential customers to visit your store and learn about your business 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You want to put your best foot forward when it comes to website based marketing.

Purchase email addresses. You need to take great care that you do so from a reputable business so that you will not be accused of spamming, but once you have found such as list, use it! This is a great opportunity for emailing out newsletters, recipes, memorable quotes, and special offers. If your newsletters are witty, you will be able to add new subscribers by folks who liked what they read when a friend forwarded it.

Set up an affiliate program, and permit others to receive a little profit from sending visitors to your website. You might even specify that the commission will not be paid out until someone signs up for a newsletter or places an order.

Change your email signature to showcase your business. Think about how many emails you send out every day, and you will be amazed how many potential customers you can reach simply with your signature.

As you can see when you base your home business opportunity on online marketing, you will be able to attract customers on a daily basis, even when you are not online. In addition to the foregoing, because of the many times that emails get forwarded when they contain witty or important information, you will be able to capitalize on your email investment many times over! So go ahead and give it a try; you will not be disappointed!

Making Money on Home Business Internet Marketing

Friday, September 8th, 2006

Home business Internet marketing has become one of the favorite businesses of stay at home parents. The reason behind this popular choice is that online marketing does not cost as much capital as putting up your own store and keeping inventories. If you are one of those who are contemplating setting up your own home Internet marketing business and earning a living out of it, it might be good to consider affiliate marketing.

Most affiliate marketing programs do not require you to put up capital to sell their products. All you need to have is a website where you can put the logo of the merchants and provide a link to their site. Like all other business–be it home business, internet marketing, or the traditional brick and mortar form of business–there are many challenges you need to contend with in order to succeed and earn good money.

The first thing that you will need to contend with when you opt to incorporate affiliate marketing in your home business internet marketing is that some merchant sites are rather difficult to navigate. Customers are often turned-off from buying their products because it is difficult to browse through. Often times, merchant sites, which are difficult to navigate, also have complicated payment systems that people who do not have the patience to deal with complications may just leave the site without buying at all. You as an online marketer often don’t have any say on the merchants website. The best thing you can do is screen out merchant websites properly before displaying their logo on your own website. It would be best for you to try and navigate your merchant’s website to gauge whether or not a buyer would easily find what he or she needs. Only provide links for those merchant websites that are user friendly if you hope to sell something and earn a commission.

Another thing that you will need to focus on when you are engaged in home business Internet marketing is that most merchant sites are not very attractive to online shoppers. You will need to market their sites aggressively in you website by providing information to buyers. When you sell the products of your merchant, it would be best to use text link instead of banners. Moreover, relationship marketing is a good tool, which you must use to earn good money in home base internet marketing. The cardinal rule in relationship marketing is that you build a good relationship with your clients and gain their trust. When a client trusts your judgment, they will be more open to buying the products you are endorsing. Building trust could take a long time but the returns are good if you have that kind of relationship with your clients.

Marketing Your Work at Home Business Idea

Monday, September 4th, 2006

You have a great work at home business idea and you have decided to jump in with both feet. You have already set up your computer, signed up with a reseller or the company who will provide you some leads, and you have even come up with an innovative plan to get the kids and the rest of the family involved. Everyone is excited about your new work at home business idea, but one thing is still missing: a viable marketing plan! Oh sure, the product is a surefire winner, but if nobody knows that you have it, how will they come and buy from you? Here are some tips and tricks to get you started with your marketing on a shoestring budget!

Have business cards printed up. Do not fall for the business cards you can get for free that have someone else’s logo printed on the back, or that limit you when it comes to what kinds of graphics you can display. Instead, choose to go ahead and purchase a software program that will allow you to design and print cards from your own computer, or simply pay someone else to do it. It is a small expense that can reap great rewards!

Do not be shy when handing out your business cards! Leave them at places where you do business, leave them on the table in the restaurant with the tip, pin them up on bulletin boards at the local grocery store, and ask other businesses if they will permit you to display them.

Be sure to network! If you are running a business that might tie in to another business, for example if you are running a nail salon out of your home and down the street you have a friend who is running a hair salon, you might be able to network. Have ads for your nail salon displayed there, while displaying ads for the hair salon displayed at your site of business.

Let yourself be creative in your marketing efforts.  For instance, you could get the kids involved! Nobody can resist a cute kid, and if you can have your little ones help to market your product, what a great opportunity! For example, if you are selling a honey based product line, maybe edible honey or honey based cosmetics, why not dress your little one up in a bee costume and hand out some fliers on the way to the grocery store? This will provide for a great conversation starter, get the kids involved, let them play dress up in public on a day other than Halloween, and will also get the name of your business out there!

As you can see, there are a number of ways that you can easily market your work at home business idea without having to rip a big hole into your budget. So go ahead and have some fun with it!

Home Based Business: Network Marketing

Friday, September 1st, 2006

A lot of people would shy away when we start talking about home based business in network marketing for the simple reason that they don’t want to sell goods and services. If you take a closer look into network marketing, you will find out that it does not necessarily mean peddling or offering goods and services to your friends or family members. In fact, network marketing is really a system of income sharing and cost sharing.

How does a home-based business on network marketing work? Network marketing works by recruiting members who will use the product it is selling. The system is multi-level where a person who becomes a member of the network can recruit a friend or a family member to register under his or her network. Every time the recruit purchases a product of the company, the recruiter gets a commission. The good thing about network marketing is that you do not only get a commission on your direct recruit but also on the purchases of your recruit’s recruit usually up to the fourth level. Some networking companies give commission up to the eight level of recruits which really a big advantage if you have a wide network.

Many people have benefited for network marketing. People who set up a home based business in network marketing have succeeded in earning a huge income from their networks. The key to success in the networking business is helping each other build a wide member base. A member who helps his or her recruit in recruiting more people would most likely enjoy the benefits of earning commissions from their recruit’s recruit so it is really a good idea to help each other.

There are many critics who would say that network marketing only makes the people on top of the network rich while those at the bottom will not get anything. Well, that is a matter of opinion. The system is really about pooling of resources by creating a network of consumers. If you build a network, not everybody could be on top at once but everyone will have a fair chance of making it to a “relative top” with enough hard work. Look at ANY business and you will see a hierarchy or “totem pole” order.  In any corporation only a handful of bosses are at the top, and often employees never get a chance to be promoted, even if they work hard.  In contrast, a home based business in network marketing is created to function as a team business, meaning you help each other out, and everyone has the same rules to be able to rise in the network.

Remember also that in modern network marketing there is a product (or products) being sold, and that commissions are usually limited to a few levels deep:  both of these factors distinguish it from any simplistic “pyramid scheme.”  Organizations like the Better Business Bureau recognize this, and that is why they can approve of organizations like SFI, the link to which you can find HERE - See SFI.

Internet Help for Small Business Profit Margin

Monday, July 24th, 2006

There are three important things to consider when using the Internet for to gain an advantage or edge for a small business. All three will help to increase the fair market value of your company. A web site is a great source of advertising and distribution for a small business. The name of the game is cash flow and one needs to know how to generate this in the virtual world. How will the World Wide Web help out your small or home business and gain you some cash flow?

Expand markets and increasing sales. The Internet gives the business owner a chance at a much broader market area. There are no more geographic restrictions to hold you back. Simply building a web site, however, will not automatically grant you more business. You will need to market to your targeted audience to gain more business. Once properly marketed, a web site is a very effective way to reach new and current customers, boostiing sales. The web provides the company with a 24 hour per day, 7 days per week brochure to be viewed at the client’s leisure. A professional looking web page is of the utmost importance. It is the client or potential client’s first view of who you are and what you do. You will want to utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) to increase the traffic onto your site and get better and higher ratings. This will make sure your web site is in the first few pages of search results. You can also hire a consultant to help you with marketing if you don’t know what you are doing.

Maximize your profitability. Using the Internet will also allow you to increase your profitability, not to mention streamline automation in your small business. It will be easy for your customers to order replacements parts, refer friends and family, and order new products in your stock faster. You will only be a click away from a sale. You will be able to use e-mail to show off new products and give your customers coupons. Be sure to have a spot on your web site that allows the customer or potential customer to fill in their name and e-mail address. This will allow you to send them promotions and newsletters regularly. The more they see and hear from you the better off you will be and the more you will make.

Increase customer retention and enhance customer relations. The Internet also provides a great amount of customer contact and support. Being readily available for immediate response to your clients makes them trust and respect you. They will want to do business with you again. Also the content that you provide for your customers will keep them coming back to hear the latest news and learn more. This is a great way to keep customers visiting until a new product is introduced. They will be more likely to buy from you again if they were able to read about the benefits and have faith you will be there for them when needed in the future.  © 2006 Wallet Relief

Writing Press Releases

Sunday, July 16th, 2006

So you have a new and eye-catching web site that you will be putting in circulation very soon? You will need advertising for this site to make a big splash on the market. How does one go about writing a big press release for an impending site introduction? You are not alone if you are unsure about this, but there are a few pointers to get you started, and to help you be successful at it at the same time.

Keeping in mind that you are going to need the public’s attention, in this media release it is important to remember the fact that news sells. What you need is very persuasive communication to get your point across. If editors find material that makes false promises or nonsense claims that are just not reasonable, they will trash the media release. Some of the most common are one of a kind, changing the face of the planet, or everyone wins. The entire premise is to act and think like a reporter to get the word out in that media format. If the release is not in a journalistic format, it will not be taken seriously.

A good measure would be to make the title around ten words, keep it short to grab attention. A brief summary of the information should be in the headline, and should be dynamic and bold. You are trying to reach the mass public; it should be as broad as a roadside sign or billboard. The best way to get a good review is to have the editor notice your release above all others, and this can be done in just a few words. Like all good journalists know, the most potent and important part of the release is always the opening paragraph. This can be referred to as the summary lead. It is always the most important facet of any release that you incorporate the common 5 w’s of journalism, not excluding the single and ever important h. Who, what, when, where, and the single how are the mainstay in quality information that everyone truly looks for when reading a release. It is imperative to include them.

Then is the beef of the information with the introduction and the closing statements surrounding this bulk. It is the introduction that leads the readers down the path of craving more on the subject and it must be powerful. This opening paragraph is what is known as the hook. This hook not only has to grab the audience’s attention but the press and the editor as well. Not always an easy task. The hook in every sense of the word is strictly fact and not a method to persuade the masses.

If you need assistance with writing press releases, or need other professional editorial help, consider the links noted in our last post.  I will repeat one of the links here for your convenience: Keyword Articles is a good starting point.

Free Website Promotion & Advertising - Articles & More Articles

Thursday, July 13th, 2006

Clearly one of the best methods of promoting your web site or small Internet business is to use articles. This is a very simple way to disseminate information and best of all it is free to use. You do not need to be a pro or a professional writer to be able to place articles on your web site. Having articles that are directly related to the theme of the site will in turn give you an edge on the competition. By writing an article yourself and submitting it to an article directory or multiple directories, you then are feeding the community with great content for everyone to share.

There are literally hundreds of these directories of articles on the Internet, and being a member of multiple web societies will yield more and more reference materials from which you can benefit. When composing an article that you intend to place on one of these directories, it is very important to keep the required formatting in mind. There are some directories that wish for you to use no formatting; this is not a bad thing as in the end it will save you time not having to set up the formatting. Just make sure it is all done in a text document, and all will be fine. (If you are on a very tight budget but need an excellent word processing program, be sure try out the free, open-source www.OpenOffice.org suite.)

Sometimes the directory will require a keyword to accompany the article, and may or may not ask for a brief description of the article in a separate box. Along with all this information, it is a great idea for you to have a resource box at the bottom of the article. This is an excellent way for you to give information about yourself and the web site or sites you manage. This is an excellent method of self-promotion. The key here is to generate as much traffic to your web site as you can by efficiently using web content and articles that appeal to people. This is very effective when you find great articles that pertain to your site as a whole.

If someone reads an entire article that you have written, it is very likely that they will be willing to read more of your work. This can easily draw them to your site out of curiosity, and could generate a new sale. This new sale could then lead to a referral of someone else looking for the same product or service, and again draw a new customer. Word of mouth on the Internet is a very powerful tool indeed. So in closing, it is clear that these services known as article directories do have a purpose in generating more traffic to your intended target. That target is your web site.

If you are still reluctant to write an article yourself, or would like to save time by having someone else write a series of articles of high quality for you at a very reasonable cost, be sure to check out what Dustin Cannon’s group at Keyword Articles has to offer, or their package VIP “deal” at JustArticlesVIP.com The Wholesale Article Club.  If any of you are even more ambitious and want to develop your own article site FAST, you should know about this option at Article Magnet.   © 2006 Wallet Relief Blog – WalletRelief.com

Write Profitable eBooks for Business Promotion

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

Have you ever thought about becoming an author, or how to write an e-book? Or how you can use an ebook to promote your new business? Many people have no idea what an e-book even is, let alone know how to use one to advertise their business. The object of the so-called e-book–for a businessperson–is to somehow attract a good portion of the over one billion global Internet users.

There are countless things on the Internet that people are looking for on a daily basis, from medical advice to education to financial services. All this searching is reason enough for an information package to be put in place, to sell to others they are looking for. Any way you slice it, the hottest product on the Internet is information. After the initial cost is over with when setting up an e-book, you will have no further cost to get the word out as sending e-books is free. All income brought in will then be profit gained. E-books are not like a traditional textbook per se, as the primary core of a traditional printed book is words and if you are lucky a few simple charts and graphs. An e-book can indeed be much more productive in it’s presentations, allowing for streaming video and audio codes to be installed. This will heighten the overall effect of the book.

It would be a very good idea for you to use this sort of streaming video in an e-book, as this will allow for the best pitch on the sale of the product to reach a much broader demographic. Knowing about a product before you buy it seems to be a way of life these days. This would be a great way to demonstrate just how the product works and what the perks are. By chaining this video on an e-book to a contact email list, you then can go back later and do follow-ups on the people that have viewed the book and its video. One of the strongest assets of an e-book is the easy-to-use chapter previews. This is an extremely powerful tool in the marketing strategy. It will allow for simple needs to be addressed or the full-fledged read for the newbie. This will allow people to view small segments of the book, and then if need be or they desire they can download the rest at a cost. This is known as unlockable content. If people can be convinced that the service is valuable by reading some of the e-book, you can be sure that you have gained their attention.

There are several fine e-book software programs available on the web, and these can make the writing and the formatting process much simpler and quicker. One ebook software program is eBookGenerator, and another option is eBook Gold. For all you ebook authors, old and new, best of wishes!
